About Us

What does CDCA do?

CDCA was founded 40 years ago by United Way of Greater St Louis.  We have proudly supported children and families in the community as the most trusted source for early childhood training, referral and nutrition services.  We look forward to finding new ways to support our communities during the next 40 years.

CDCA helps families find child care and provides tools to assist them in their efforts to identify care that is high quality, affordable and appropriate for each family's unique needs.  You can access this referral service by calling us directly at 314-531-1412, submitting your request on-line for us to do your search, or do your own search by using our new and improved online search feature.  Specialized referral and support services are available for families whose children have special needs - just ask your Referral Specialist.

CDCA works with child care professionalschild care centers and family child care homes to improve the quality and availability of child care through workshops, state approved online training, customized Affiliate Services and on-site observation and consultation to support programs in including children with special needs.   Visit our training calendar or call us at 314-531-1412 for more information.   We also sponsor the Child and Adult Care Food Program in both Missouri and Illinois...and more!
